Ryzenberg On: Tickle a Fashionista’s Fancy

After extensive blog research from the Ryzenberg On investigative unit, (OK, me) there are many things that stylish gals covet that go beyond clothes, shoes and baubles. But let me make something clear, we can never have enough of the aforementioned items.

However, since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, sometimes it’s the little things that make us smile and anything pretty will always wow us. We love good fresh smells, (perfumes, candles and flowers) anything sumptuous (warning: this one might follow a ‘do I look fat or have I gained weight’ ponder) and soft (puppies and kittens, please apply.)

So if you are looking to impress your girl of BFF, here are a few ideas that might make you one lucky dog, not just on Feb. 14 for year-round bliss. Oh yeah, and leave the lingerie for us to get, but if you really want a preview, make a date so that way Victoria doesn’t hold any secrets.

Ryzenberg On: Blame it on Rio

[ PHOTOS: Fashion Gone Rogue ]

This Vogue Brazil December 2011 fashion spread featuring supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio and Brazilian heartthrob Rodrigo Santoro (you might recognize him as the ‘enigmatic’ designer from Love Actually) is certainly sizzling.

Shot in the Big Apple by Eric Guillemain, this romantic feature has the beautiful power couple (sadly, not in real life, but don’t they make a great pair?) donning YSL, Dolce & Gabbana and Louis Vuitton.

It is magazine covers and stories like this that affirm me how Brazilians have special powers that seriously produce some of the most beautiful people in the world. Does their water have anything special? Or perhaps, the caipirinha is the catch!

Ryzenberg On: Golden Globes’ Golden Looks

Awards season is in full force and everyone donned their Sunday best at theGolden Globes. ‘The Artist,’ ‘The Descendants,’ ‘Modern Family’ and ‘Homeland were the night’s big winners, and all of Hollywood’s gliterati sure shined.

Champaign colored dresses and classic tuxes dominated the red carpet, as some stars who opted to make a splash with a pop of color. Black is always a popular choice, always managing to make a cameo at all the right times!

Here are my top eight of the night:

Salma Hayek in Gucci S/S 2012 — Straight from the runway, Frida (Giannini, not Kahlo) is definitely smiling) I love sequins and this feistly Mexican (and dream of most pre-pubescent boys) knows how to show off her best assets.

Angelina Jolie in Versace Atelier — The epitome of Hollywood glam and color blocking. My birthday twin (yup, we are both June 4) rocked this ensemble by combining her red lipstick with the dress’ collar. This, ladies and gentleman, is how the trend gets done!

Reese Witherspoon in Zac Posen — She looks like a ‘Red Hot Momma’ in this mermaid gown, which is a hit. I guess the only think I would have tweaked on this look is the hair, as it would have been great to see it parted to the side and straight. The beachy locks somewhat make it look a bit too casual.

Emma Stone in Lanvin — So stunning and love the color contrast with her hair and smoky eyes.

Jessica Beil in Elie Saab — The hair color is great and the taffeta looks fantastic. Her fit physique really makes her look like a knock out in a long sleeve gown.

Jessica Alba in Gucci — Very elegant and classic. This mom of 2 sure knows how the steal the spotlight. I really hope when I have rugrats to look like this in just a matter of months)

Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang — OK, I am biased, but this Latina always nails it! Va Va Vooom in all the right places, as she knows how to accentuate those curvas! I also love the hair parted to the side and the Harry Winston baubles.

Charlize Theron in Dior — This South African stunner always takes risks at red carpets. She’s been wearing ruffles and bows for a few seasons now, but really like the train on this gown. The whole looks works well with her svelte legs and kept her makeup to a minimum. J’ adore.
