San Francisco, CA — Fashion For The People (SFFaMA.org) and San Francisco Fashion Week® return with FASHION KILLS 3.0, the third edition of its powerful and immersive fashion showcase, premiering Saturday, July 13, 2025, at the African American Art & Culture Complex (AAACC).
Known for pushing boundaries and blending fashion with visual storytelling, FASHION KILLS is more than a show—it’s a cultural statement. Each collection challenges the audience to think critically about themes presented through the runway. The evening creates a bold platform for designers to speak through their work.
Student Designers in the Spotlight
This year, FASHION KILLS 3.0 proudly elevates the next generation of creative leaders by featuring student designers from: Academy of Art University, California College of the Arts (CCA), San Francisco State University (SFSU)
These student-led collections explore identity, sustainability, and empowerment —pushing fashion beyond aesthetics into social commentary. This initiative continues Fashion For The People’s mission to empower emerging designers by giving them visibility on a high-impact platform.
SHEtalks Forum Pop-In Panel: Women Who Disrupt
New this year: FASHION KILLS 3.0 will feature a SHEtalks Forum pop-in panel, highlighting powerful voices in fashion, beauty, media, and tech. This conversation will spotlight women entrepreneurs and creatives who are breaking down barriers, sharing their experiences on building brands, facing cultural bias, navigating entrepreneurship, and leading with purpose.Panel Focus: Cultural identity in fashion, Building inclusive creative communities, Age diversity and representation, Women-led innovation in fashion tech. This collaboration with SHEtalks Forum reinforces SFFW’s continued commitment to diversity, equity, and empowerment through meaningful dialogue.
Runway + Fashion Film + Performance
Each designer in FASHION KILLS 3.0 has developed their collection from a cinematic concept—merging fashion to deliver editorial-style narratives that provoke thought and conversation.
Expect a boundary-breaking night of: Innovative fashion presentations, Cultural storytelling, Networking and creative exchange.
Venue: African American Art & Culture Complex (AAACC)
Located in San Francisco’s vibrant Western Addition neighborhood, AAACC is a cornerstone for cultural celebration and Black arts. Its dynamic performance and gallery spaces provide a fitting stage for a show that centers identity, resistance, and creativity.
