AlbertMing: Real innovation in men's dress shirts

[ Source: AlbertMing with Tim Urban of American Idol ]

AlbertMing is a new menswear label that is bringing modern styling and high-performing fabrics to traditional tailored clothing.

The company was founded by two childhood friends, Ming Chang and Albert Shyy, who were frustrated wearing boxy-looking tailored clothing when they wanted to look sharp.  Inspired by the innovation in other more forward-looking parts of the apparel industry, we decided to launch a label that met the functional and aesthetic needs of today’s generation of men.

They believe that in today’s age, people are demanding both aesthetics and performance in everything from smartphones to apparel. They build suits for guys for whom high-performance is a way of life, from their athletic to their professional endeavors. Suits with amazing stain-repellent wools and a soft feel that would be at home on a $5,000 suit.  Suits so comfortable that feels like a second skin, thanks to their own hand-tailored construction.  Suits that embrace the modern look with a slim cut and a svelte fit.

Their apparel is tailored for modern men who want clothing that is comfortable, versatile, and stylish.  After successfully launching their Men’s Blazer, they are ready to take the next step and introduce the Arctic Shirt. Much like their other products, this is no ordinary dress shirt. they’ve created an ultra-breathable, wrinkle-free dress shirt that offers water/stain repellency and a fitted modern style. Ryzenberg On: Chambray Wishes

It’s light, it’s easy to wear and it doesn’t wrinkle — yup, I am referring to chambray.

This is seriously the perfect fabric for spring and summer as it can be dressed up, down and it’s a perfect staple for a vacation or work ensemble.

Pair it with printed or colored jeans, some jewelry and sandals and you are set to go. As for the 9-to-5 look, a pair of trousers, a blazer and heels and you will be comfy in the office.

Chambray dresses are also perfect and can even go from day to night with the right accessories. This color pretty much combines with everything and it’s a nice alternative to sun dresses and maxi pleats.

If you live in denim, it’s also easy to combine it and avoid looking like you are sporting a Canadian tuxedo! Just make sure the shirt is slightly different from the jeans (or shorts) and you will have a winning look!

These gals sure know how to rock it.

Brooke Hagel, a fashion illustrator living in New York shares her life as a blogger and artist. Known for having her illustrations featured in “Barbie: The Dream Closet” at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and the Nate Berkus Show, Hagel has been an amazing influence for aspiring people who want to work in the fashion industry.

Her expertise involves drawing the Sex & the City characters, Kate Middleton in her wedding gown, and designer collections from New York Fashion Week. She has also had her drawings represented at Style Design College in Milan.

Coming from an artistic family, Brooke Hagel always had a passion for art. She was always comfortable and happy with creating something whether it was drawing, painting, sculpting or crafting.

Hagel originally went to college with the hope of becoming a costume designer and wardrobe stylist, but found that the illustration classes and illustrating aspect of the design process was her favorite part.

“Although I knew I loved illustrating I was always told that you couldn’t make a living anymore as a fashion illustrator,” says Hagel.

MYRRHIA’s Fine Knitwear: Guiding Fashion Enthusiasts Towards Self-Actualization

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OAKLAND, Calif. (Mar. 27, 2012) – Myrrhia’s Fine Knitwear:  Guiding Fashion Enthusiasts Towards Self-Actualization

From local buzz to the attention of top fashion blogs, Myrrhia Fine Knitwear is making a statement in the industry with the release of its Fall 2012 line.

The brainchild of entrepreneur Myrrhia Resneck, Myrrhia Fine Knitwear has now expanded into the wholesale market and is shipping orders to North America and Europe.

The Myrrhia Fine Knitwear Fall 2012 collection includes vests, sweaters and dresses of radiating patterns that symbolize the dynamic energy that is found within each and every one of us. You can view the collection here: http://myrrhia.com/fall2012.htm

“Human creativity itself was the inspiration for the collection,” explains founder Myrrhia Resneck. “Neither flashy nor understated, each piece is designed to foster self-expression.”

Each Myrrhia Fine Knitwear garment is loomed from 100 percent soft worsted merino wool, spun in Springvale, Maine and finished by Andari Fashion, Inc., near downtown Los Angeles. Unlike cut and sewn garments, every MFK piece is knit to shape, which means no offcuts in the landfill.

Available in a variety of colors and tones from cool violets, warm oranges, and formal neutrals, MFK’s Fall 2012 line is designed to skirt a line between the stylishly casual and the soberly formal.

Founded in 2010, Myrrhia Fine Knitwear is headquartered at the 25th Street Collective, a small business incubator for sewing entrepreneurs in Oakland, California. Its initial success grew from exposure at Oakland’s Art Murmur street market though today it’s shipped globally to customers.
