San Francisco, CA October 29, 2012. SOMA based company Inspirare.com celebrates the launch of their eShop with local fashion and tech companies with the help of the talented group of girls at Style Squad they present their first two collections in a fashion show and styling presentation this Friday, November 2nd 2012 6pm-9pm [RSVP HERE]. The company sells small runs of one-of-a-kind pieces from emerging designers. Inspirare’s designer collections are a mash-up of international and U.S. based designers. The companies mission is to launch the budding careers of these fresh and innovative designers by funding 100% of the production and advertising for their brands. All garments are cut and sewn in San Francisco.
The company Style Squad SF will be styling the fashion show, and presenting wardrobe styling techniques to showcase their fabulous skills as an image consulting team. From as far away as Singapore to Silicon Valley, 400 startup entrepreneurs, investors, digerati and friends descended on the Supper Club in San Francisco for the Startup Socials Party on May 3rd, proving that networking and networthing doesn’t have to be boring. The crowd of many languages included the posh and the glamorous as well as the ready-for-anything denim and plaid set. The agenda for the evening was mingling, dancing, laughing and partying the night away to the hip musical curations of DJ White Cloud, DJ Taj and DJ Tati. You will learn how early stage startups present their products and pitch to a panel of investors. Our demo days are hosted monthly as part of Pitch Accelerator workshop where startups present their progress to panel of investors in order to get feedback on their idea, business model and potential fundability of their startup.
Catalina Girald graduated from Texas A&M University and went to law school at Boston College. After working in mergers and acquisitions at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLC for five years in New York, Catalina went to Stanford Business School where she founded indie online retailer Moxsie. After a year and a half running Moxsie, Catalina decided to step down as CEO. Moxsie was acquired by another startup called FashionStake in July and Catalina took a job with The Cools, a social marketplace to buy, sell, discover, and share items. “But if another idea comes up, I might do it again,” she says.
